Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. Introduction
DevSolve ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DevSolve website and mobile applications. This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we process, why we process it, and your choices. It applies to visitors and registered users of our services.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with data brokers, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We use a limited set of service providers (such as sign-in and payment platforms) only where needed to run authentication, purchases, and core product features. Those providers process data under their own privacy policies and only as instructed by us to deliver the service.
2. Information we collect
Account registration (email and password)
- Name
- Email address
- Password (stored using strong one-way hashing; we do not store your password in plain text)
Sign-in with Google, Apple, or GitHub
- When you choose social login, we receive the profile details that provider shares with us (typically name, email, and profile image where applicable). We use this only to create and secure your DevSolve account and to show your profile in the product.
- Apple may allow you to hide your email using Sign in with Apple; in that case we only receive the relay or contact information Apple provides.
- Authentication is handled by the respective provider according to their terms and privacy policies.
Profile and product use
- Optional profile fields you choose to add (for example expertise areas or bio)
- Content you submit (for example problems, bids, messages, or toolbox modules) as needed to operate the platform
Mobile app — optional push notifications
- If you enable notifications, we store a device push token associated with your account so we can send service-related alerts (for example bids, messages, or purchase confirmations). You can turn off notifications in your device settings.
Purchases
- Web: Payments for eligible purchases may be processed by Razorpay. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; payment data is handled by the payment provider under their policies.
- Mobile (in-app purchases): Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive information needed to validate purchases and unlock access (for example transaction or order identifiers and product identifiers), not your full card details.
Website — technical and optional analytics
- Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed may be processed by our hosting and security systems to keep the site secure and reliable.
- Where we use optional analytics or similar cookies on the website, we aim to obtain consent where required by law (for example in the EEA/UK) before non-essential tracking. Our mobile apps are not used to run third-party advertising or cross-app tracking for ads.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create, authenticate, and secure your account
- Provide DevSolve features (toolbox, problems, bids, messaging, and related notifications you opt into)
- Process and record purchases and deliver digital content you buy
- Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect our users and services
- Improve reliability and security of our infrastructure
4. Storage, cookies, and local data
We use session or local storage (and similar technologies on the web) to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. You can clear site data in your browser settings.
Cookie and consent details for the website, where applicable, are available through our cookie controls on the site.
5. Service providers (processors)
We engage subprocessors only to operate the product. Examples may include:
- Cloud hosting and database services
- Email delivery for account-related messages
- Google, Apple, or GitHub for authentication when you choose those options
- Razorpay for web payments where offered
- Apple App Store and Google Play for in-app purchases and related receipt validation
- Infrastructure used to validate mobile purchases or deliver notifications (for example Firebase Cloud Messaging for push), configured for service delivery only
We require these providers to protect personal data and use it only to provide the services we contract for. We do not authorize them to sell your personal information.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and dispute resolution needs. You may request deletion of your account subject to applicable exceptions (for example completed transaction records we must retain).
7. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in our mobile app or by contacting us at the details below. When you delete your account:
- Your account is soft-deleted and immediately deactivated. You will be signed out and unable to log in.
- You have a 7-day grace period during which you can contact our support team to reactivate your account.
- After 7 days, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
- Certain records (such as completed transaction history) may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, even after permanent deletion.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. Children
DevSolve is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Toolbox & creator modules
If you upload a module to the Toolbox:
- You are responsible for originality and for attaching an appropriate license
- DevSolve does not claim ownership of your module; we may showcase it as described in our Terms
- Buyers receive access after successful payment according to the applicable channel (web or in-app)
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
